The Trust is formed in the memory of doctor Late Dr. Sita Ram Singh, an eminent doctor from Bihar, India. He was born in Sikaria, Dist-Rohatas-Bihar, India. Mr. Singh studied at Darbhanga Medical College and after study, he spent most of his life in providing health care services to the poor and needy in various villages in the State of Bihar. He was a symbol of “humanity and caring”.
Dr. SitaRam Singh Charitable Trust (SRS Trust) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serve and help needy individuals and families. The Trust is registered as a Public Charitable Trust and the head office is in the state capital of Bihar, India. The Trust closely works with the deprived communities and empowers the socially marginalized by providing them livelihood linkages, imparting skills leading to employment, health and education facilities, food shelter, and many more such things that may bring a smile on the face of an individual or families. The focus areas of the trust are Health and education, Rural Development, Women's Empowerment, skill development, Old Age Home, rehabilitation and resettlement, and other community development initiatives.
